BIRDWATCHING TOUR 5 DAYS/ 4 NIGHTS

DAY 1

• Pick up you at the airport then we go until the kilometer 11 Leticia – Tarapaca highway where is the Tanimboca reserve
• Time to do check in and accommodation in a treehouse
• We start a hike in the area of approximately 30 minutes through the area of secondary gross and part of the primary jungle until la Arenosa where we will have a tasty lunch based on fish
• A short nap, after we will start a hike through the area for observation of the wildlife
• Time to go to the cabin
• In the time agreed with the guide we meet to start a night walk in the area where we will have chance to see nightlife such as: lizards, snake, frogs, spiders … finishing the hike in the reception where we will take dinner
• After time to go to the cabin

DAY 2

• Breakfast, after we take taxi to go to Leticia’s port where we will take boat until approximately 18 kilometers from Leticia upstream, Peruvian side where a local guide is waiting us to start a hike though the area of low or flooded jungle where we will have chance to explore the area and see different kind of birds, different kind of animals too
• Until arrive to the Marasha lodge where we will have accommodation, lunch time buffet
• A short nap, after we will take boat or kayak to do the around the lake with the binoculars and all the elements which we will use to see birds
• Come back to the lodge *OPTIONAL: piranha fishing using typical rod
• Dinner, after we are ready to take native canoe to do an around of the lake where we will have chance to enjoy the sounds of the nocturne life and see alligator
• Rest

DAY 3

• Wake up at 5:00 am to do the around by the lake where we will have the opportunity to see the sunrise and different kind of birds
• Breakfast
• After we organize everything to go until the river bank to take boat to go until approximately 47 kilometers upstream where is located the multiethnic Mocagua village
• Time for accommodation in La Ceiba lodge, tasty typical lunch based on fish
• After we take native boat and go around the Mata – Mata creek where is a chance to see different kind of birds and exploring the different kinds and level of vegetation
• Dinner
• *OPTIONAL: Nocturne hike in the area where we will have the opportunity to see frogs, lizards, snake, tarantulas…

DAY 4

• We take boat to cross the Amazon river where we find the ecosystem of flooded jungle where is a chance to see different kind of parrots and other birds 5:00 am
• Breakfast
• After we are ready to go to approximately 15 kilometers upstream where is the second municipality of the Colombian amazon (in the way chance to explore the places around where we will have the opportunity to see birds, dolphins.)
• Lunch
• We do a short around of the municipality and go to the port where we will take the boat and do the around of the lakes around exploring, enjoy the landscapes, chance to swim.
• Come back to Mocagua for lunch

DAY 5

• 5:00 am we wake up to go to the watch tower where is a chance to enjoy the Amazonian sunset, see birds which are moving to the different places
• Breakfast
• After we organize everything to come back to Leticia, we go at the airport in a prudent time
